AmandaRachLee has become one of the most popular bullet journalers out there. I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the person who brought you to bullet journaling. (She played a factor in my bullet journaling experience.) Amanda Rach Lee is such a superstar when it comes to bullet journaling and because of that, we all want to know what tools she uses in her bullet journal, including her bullet journals.
Here are all the different bullet journals AmandaRachLee has used over the years:
AmandaRachLee’s Bullet Journal in 2017
Amanda Rach Lee first started posting content on her YouTube channel about bullet journaling in 2017. (You can check out her bullet journal set-up video here!) Her first bullet journal was a Leuchtturm 1917 A5 Dotted Journal.
This bullet journal has 80 gsm, which is a pretty thin paper for a bullet journal. Pens don’t necessarily bleed through the page (though some do). However, there is some ghosting (when you can see what’s on the previous page).
The Leuchtturm 1917 is the journal almost everyone uses at first, including AmandaRachLee and me. It is a good start to your bullet journaling experience.
AmandaRachLee’s Journal in 2018
Once you’ve worked with a Leuchtturm 1917 Bullet Journal, you start to understand why people like thicker pages. I immediately switched to an Archer & Olive journal, but the bullet journal AmandaRachLee used for 2018 was the Scribbles That Matter (STM) A5 Dotted Journal. (Check it out!)
The Scribbles That Matter journal is a great option when it comes to bullet journaling. The paper has 160 gsm, which is the perfect thickness for bullet journaling. A lot of people advocate that STM journals are the best. So you know you are getting a quality journal with this one.
In the year 2018, AmandaRachLee used two journals. Her spreads took up the first journal by August. Again, she used the Scribbles That Matter Dotted Journal. (You can see her video here!)
AmandaRachLee’s Bullet Journal in 2019
In 2019, Amanda Rach Lee changed journals again. (See it here!)
I think a lot of bullet journalers end up using an Archer & Olive bullet journal in the end. It’s simply one of the most popular brands of journals among bullet journalers in Canada and the United States.
I have to admit that I am a little biased when it comes to Archer & Olive bullet journals. They are my favourite brand. Their journals are amazing! No ghosting or bleeding of ink anywhere to be seen! And I had trouble with shipping once and they immediately sent me another. I simply love them!
Halfway through the year, Amanda Rach Lee started another journal, again with Archer & Olive. (You know the drill. Click here for the video!)
Sometimes you need more pages than the journal provides. That is one downside to the Archer & Olive bullet journals. Because the pages are thicker, they take up more space which leads to fewer pages.
AmandaRachLee’s Journal in 2020
The year 2020 began again with Archer & Olive. (Check it out!) Sadly, a lot of the designs and editions of journals that AmandaRachLee used can no longer be found. Archer & Olive changes its notebook designs every few months, so it can be hard to find an older design.
Something special happened in August 2020! AmandaRachLee launched her own line of bullet journals. (You can see the video here!) She started using the teal journal in July, a month before the launch date.
She offers both a blank dotted notebook and a dotted notebook with pre-made spreads for you to fill out. She is a bullet journaler, so you know that it has everything you need: thick, dotted, and numbered pages as well as a pen loop. I’m still loyal to Archer & Olive but I have heard great things about her journals so far.
AmandaRachLee’s Bullet Journal in 2021 and 2022
Since Amanda Rach Lee launched her line of bullet journals in 2020, she has been using her dotted notebooks.
In 2021, she used two bullet journals. She changed journals in June as usual. However, it can be hard to find the exact journal she used last year because she launches a new collection with different colours every year.
At the beginning of 2021, she used a classic black-covered journal. (Watch it now!) Later in the year, she used the slate grey journal. (You can see that here!) Both looked great!
This year (2022), she decided to go with her taupe-coloured journal with coloured edges. (The last one. I promise! Check out her video here!) The AmandaRachLee bullet journal line comes in multiple colours. If you want to try them out, you’ll have lots to choose from!
There you have it: AmandaRachLee’s bullet journals over the years. Once someone becomes an icon, people start to pay more attention to them. In the bullet journaling community, she’s a superstar! So we all want to know what supplies she uses to bullet journal. Now you know! Let me know what journals you like to use in the comments!
