My December bullet journal theme almost always has to do with the Christmas season. This year is no exception! I decided to go with a gingerbread theme this month. I will admit that I actually don’t like gingerbread. (Sorry! It’s not my fault! My taste buds chose, not me.) However, this gingerbread theme is exactly my taste! I love how it turned out!
Gingerbread makes a great theme! Both the cookies and the houses are the cutest! I am really excited to share this month’s theme with you!
Supplies
To create the same spreads, here are all the supplies you will need:
- Pigma Micron Pens (0.8, 0.5, 0.2)
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens Art Markers – Bright
- Tombow Dual Brush Pens Art Markers – Pastel
- Crayola Super Tip Markers (Brown)
- SAKURA Gelly Roll Pens (0.8)
Cover Page
This December bullet journal theme gave me the perfect opportunity to draw something a little fancier than usual. I drew a gingerbread house. I have some colourful candy on the roof as well as some jujubes. The best part is the sugar coating. I added little lines and dots on the “candy” with the white gelly roll pen to make it look more realistic. The gingerbread house gives me a real Christmas-y feel. It’s just perfect for the holidays!
Calendar
The font that I used was found on Canva (Jonathan). With Canva, I was able to write out everything and then apply the font to my spreads. It worked great! I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of that before! I love the font this month!
To apply the theme to this spread, I added a gingerbread man as well as the background of the numbers for each day of the month in brown. For the details, I used the white gelly roll pens. I think it turned out really well. The white makes it look like icing. I really like it!
Daily Highlights
My daily highlights spread was created the same way as the calendar, except I used snowflake cookies instead of gingerbread men. It’s simple but cute! It’s better to have the space for writing out the best part of my day compared to filling the page with doodles anyway.
Habit Tracker
The habit tracker this month was pretty simple. I have a row for each habit where I can fill in the sections when I complete the habit.
The little gingerbread house in the bottom corner is just adorable! It adds a little pop of colour to the spread.
Budget Tracker
This page obviously doesn’t have all that much detail or colour, but I think it works. The gingerbread men at the top of the page are just perfect!
This spread has lots of space to include income and expenses, but my favourite part about this spread is probably the font. I used the same font as the spreads before. However, because I have multiple sizes of fonts, they vary in boldness too. It’s really cute!
Weekly Spread
Because the December bullet journal theme is gingerbread, each day of the week has a gingerbread cookie. They have the day of the week and the number written inside like icing. I used the same bubbles from the calendar spread to designate the days of the meal plan. It’s always nice to have somewhere to plan meals in advance. Lastly, I have a little section where I can write my goals for the week.
The Christmas season is upon us, so I needed to incorporate it into my journal. I have done snowflakes and a general Christmas theme before. I wanted to try something new and came up with gingerbread, both houses and cookies. My December bullet journal theme was so fun to create. I hope you like it too!
