November is all about comfort! Candles come down from the shelf. Blankets find themselves on the couch instead of in the closet. Coats and scarfs start to become part of your everyday wardrobe. The weather is dropping so you are trying to find warmth in any way possible, which is exactly why this November’s bullet journal theme is hygge!
Every month I try to come up with a theme that fits the season, November just makes me think of comfort. I wanted to have those same feelings in my bullet journal. Check out these hygge-themed spreads so that you can have a similar comfort this month!

I’m going to be honest. It took me a while to figure out how to make this theme work (and to choose a theme in the first place). Eventually, I settled on a fireplace/living room setting. The fireplace is to the side, so I added some macrame on the wall. It adds that comforting feel to it!
Little blocks spelling out “November” are sitting on the mantle. Though I had some trouble figuring out how to colour this spread, I enjoyed making it. This month’s theme was a little more complicated than I usually go for, so I had some fun with the challenge.
Check it out:
Calendar
For this November bullet journal theme, I wanted to include some pastel colours, which I did in this spread. The calendar has a 3X4 rectangle for each day of the month. I used the colours to separate the weeks and colour the weekdays.
To decorate the spread, I used some string lights, some pillows, and a blanket. The pillows each signify a different kind of thing I need to document on the calendar. The colours of the pillows are what I use to add events to my schedule. This calendar is so cute! The colours and the designs give off those comfy vibes I was looking for.
Daily Highlights
The November bullet journal theme is based on warmth and coziness. To keep with that hygge theme, I decided to include a scarf, mittens, and a hat. They always make me think of warmth in the winter. I kept the same brown colours from the previous spreads (Crayola Super Tip Markers) for the items.
Above that is the title of the spread in a box. The boxed letters are used to spell out “Daily Highlights”. Sadly, this spread speaks more to warmth and winter than to hygge to me. It’s still cute though.
Water/Steps Tracker
I wanted to try something a little different this time. Usually, I don’t cut pages because it feels like a waste but I’ve seen so many people make beautiful spreads with cut pages that I decided to give it a chance. And I’m glad that I did! I love the way it looks. But mostly, I love that all the things I like to track are basically in the same area. No need to have them all separated like before!
My water tracker is on one side of the page and the steps tracker on the other. Now, for the water tracker, I only had a little bit of room, so I wrote “water” in those same block letters. I added little doodles to represent drinks. A teapot and a cup of coffee. I thought the drinks matched the idea of drinking water. For each day, I have 8 squares to mark 8 cups of water each day.
My steps tracker has block letters and candles. I make sure that I have plenty of space to write out how many steps I took that day.
Having these trackers makes it easier to keep track of my health. I recommend these amazing spreads for your journal!
Habit Trackers
My habit trackers are always cuter when each habit has its own calendar. The habits are written beside the calendars in cursive. (Who doesn’t love cursive, right?!) Each has a shadow in a different pastel colour.
To include this November bullet journal theme, I went for something simple. A tray with two cups of coffee on them is what I chose. The title of the spread is written in those block letters on the side of the tray.
This spread might be simple but it’s so cute! I love how it turned out!
November Budget
I don’t usually include a budget in my monthly spreads but I saw some amazing budget spreads online. They were very inspiring! For that reason, I decided to give it a try this month.
The hygge theme was added in the form of candles and a book. Whenever I think of warmth and comfort, I imagine myself reading a book with some candles and maybe a fireplace. So I thought it worked here.
I have a box for fixed expenses, income, and extra expenses. Fixed expenses are for stuff like bills: everything I need to pay on a monthly basis. Income is, of course, the money I make. Lastly, the extra expenses are all the extra things I need (or want) to buy. We’ll see how this spread works out over the month!
Weekly Spreads
Every month we all need to have some spreads for our daily and weekly to-do lists. I honestly feel like bullet journaling wouldn’t be worth it to me if I didn’t have weekly spreads. I need them to keep organized.
This month I added a new element: a meal plan. With the winter coming in along with a lack of motivation (that always comes with the cold), I needed something to help keep me organized and to make sure I eat well.
I used little mittens for each day of the week. In the corner of the spread is a cup of coffee.
This spread is super cute and makes me feel like I’m ready to start November!
My November bullet journal theme is hygge: comfort and warmth. I wanted a theme that embodied everything I think about November. It’s the month where I can take out all my blankets and drink some warm hot chocolate. I am so excited to use this month’s spreads! They turned out so great. Let me know what your November theme is in the comments!
