May is a big month for me and my family. Plenty of people that I know have birthdays in May, so it’s a month of celebrating for me. For my bullet journal theme this month, I wanted to do something that honoured the special people in my life.
My family makes cheesecakes for birthdays instead of birthday cakes, so I went with a raspberry cheesecake theme. If you love cheesecake, this is the perfect bullet journal theme for you!

Cover Page
My cover page starts off pretty simple. I have a singular slice of cheesecake at the bottom of the page with some fruit sauce, whipped cream, and raspberries. The whipped cream was to help separate the colours between the fruit sauce and the raspberries. I thought they would end up blending together a little too much.
The title for this spread and the rest of the titles are written in Alex Brush, a font I found on Canva. Also, I added a little raspberry after May to incorporate the theme.
Calendar Spread
The calendar, as always, takes up most of the page so I don’t have too much room for extras. However, I did my best to add a couple of little details. I added a little raspberry at the top of the page and a small cheesecake at the bottom.
I have a box for each day of the month and a notes section at the bottom for any extra things I need to add.
Daily Highlights Spread
Usually, for this spread, I like to have lines of colour to separate the days. Yet, I went with underlines this time. I think it turned out pretty great!
I added the title at the bottom of the page along with a little cheesecake. A small amount of whipped cream with a raspberry on top was drawn on the side to incorporate the raspberry theme a little more.
The numbers of the days are written on top of little bubbles that remind me of little raspberry seeds. I thought that was really cute!
Water Tracker
My water tracker is my favourite spread this month! I drew a whole bunch of raspberries with eight seeds each. (Eight cups of water a day is my goal.) I simply need to colour them in as I go. This spread will look great when all the seeds are coloured in. It’ll just be that much more motivating to drink the right amount of water each day!
In addition to all those raspberries, I have a small cheesecake with raspberries and whipped cream at the bottom of the page.
Habit Tracker
I love my habit tracker for the month of May! All the habits are in the middle of the page (a new design I haven’t tried before but really like!). It allows me to add some raspberries to the sides of the page.
The title of the spread is written inside the cheesecake this time. I wanted to embrace my theme here. I think it worked out pretty well!
Budget Spread
My budget spread has the same layout as last month (which you can see here). I have four columns: date, description, + and -. The plus and minus signs are for whether the money has been added or spent. This system worked great for me last month so I went with the same one this month.
I have some cute little raspberries at the top of the page to surround the title of the spread. There is also a cheesecake at the bottom of the page with the fruit sauce, whipped cream, and raspberries.
Weekly Spreads
My weekly spreads are simple enough to leave plenty of room for writing my to-do lists. I used raspberries, fruit sauce, cheesecakes, and whipped cream to incorporate the theme into these spreads.
For the first spread, I wanted to use the raspberries as the background for the numbers of the week. From the top of the spread, I have some of the raspberry fruit sauce dripping down.
The second weekly spread has a large cheesecake at the bottom right corner. It has the same whipped cream and raspberries from the previous spreads.
My May bullet journal theme is raspberry cheesecake to celebrate all the birthdays this month. I really hope you like it! What theme are you doing this month? Let me know in the comments!
